As a Nonprofit Parent Council, it is your responsibility to play a role in assisting the headteacher and school staff in their objectives to raise the standard of education. You also help them to make improvements in the quality of education provided by the school. The education provided by the school administration must take account of the needs of your child in order to develop the personality of your child, talents, and physical abilities to their full potential. As you know that schooling is about more than just curriculum but it includes the delivery of social, cultural, and recreational activities for the physical education and training of the students.
Parent council performs different duties that are as follows:
- Support the school in its work with students
- Represent the concerns and views of the parents
- Develop the links between the school, students, teachers, and other communities
- Report back to the parents of the students in the school
- Play an impressive role in the appointment of the principal and senior school administration
- Help the school and students during the inspections
Parent council work in varieties:
- They will have to be involved in producing the development plan of the school and determine how parents might support them in its implementation
- Determine all those ways the parents can be involved in the learning of their kids to improve their achievements
- Build a positive and strong relationship with the parents and school administration
- Help the school management in consulting with the parent forums about school policies, decision, and all other matters
- Parent Council Use all the formal and informal approaches to communicate about the school functions and how parents can be involved in them
- Raise the funds to provide additional equipment and other resources for the schools
- Facilitate the school functions by working with the principal and other staff members to make the events successful that are enjoyable, encourage the parents and students to participate in them, and are suitable according to the needs and schedules of the parents.
Nonprofit Parent Council has to represent the views of the parents in front of the school management and other educational forums. You will also support the school in front of the parents and a wider community because your main function is to promote contact between all those who are involved in the entire process such as students, parents, school administration, nursery education providers, and community members.
